Brock’s Nursing Department in Applied Health Sciences <\/a>was recently awarded a new 7-year term from CASN<\/a>. (Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing)<\/p>\n

The recognition is the highest of its kind in the country explained Dawn Prentice, Brock’s Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing.<\/p>\n

“External reviewers from the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing\u00a0have reviewed the Brock-Loyalist Collaborative BScN Program and have given both the program and\u00a0Brock’s \u00a0educational unit the highest level of accreditation available to nursing programs in Canada.”<\/p>\n

Prentice feels Brock’s reputation in Nursing and Applied Health Sciences will only continue to grow.<\/p>\n

“We will continue to develop\u00a0our curriculum, maintain high quality\u00a0standards and\u00a0continue to\u00a0graduate well-prepared individuals who are ready for practice.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Brock’s Nursing Department currently features close to 380 students and requires an average in the high eighties for acceptance. <\/span><\/p>\n

Over 600 nursing students have graduated since 2005.<\/span><\/p>\n
