Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond<\/p><\/div>\n

Five distinguished Canadians will receive honorary degrees from Brock at this year\u2019s Spring Convocation, which takes place during seven ceremonies over four days in June.<\/p>\n

This year, Brock will award degrees to Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond, British Columbia\u2019s Legislative Representative for Children and Youth; Wilma Morrison, local historian, curator, advocate and educator of black history in Niagara; Val Fleming, one of Niagara\u2019s most distinguished and well-known citizens; James Stewart, author, musician and professor emeritus of mathematics; and Brigadier-General Hilary Jaeger, OMM, MSM, CD.<\/p>\n

The ceremonies will be from Wednesday, June 9 to Saturday, June 12 in the Ian D. Beddis gymnasium. Tickets are not required and all guests are welcome.<\/p>\n
