{"id":31946,"date":"2015-02-03T13:12:06","date_gmt":"2015-02-03T18:12:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=31946"},"modified":"2015-02-03T13:12:06","modified_gmt":"2015-02-03T18:12:06","slug":"brock-students-set-to-vote-on-busu-executive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2015\/02\/brock-students-set-to-vote-on-busu-executive\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock students set to vote on BUSU executive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"highslide\" onclick=\"return vz.expand(this)\" href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/elections495279.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31948\" title=\"elections495279\" src=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/elections495279.jpg\" alt=\"elections495279\" width=\"495\" height=\"278\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s election time again.<\/p>\n<p>Brock students are set to hit the polls in the 2015 Brock University Students&#8217; Union election.<\/p>\n<p>Jimmy Norman, BUSU Chief Returning Officer, is hoping for a good response but is also realistic in the process.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From a student representation perspective, we would love to have every single student at Brock cast their ballot and have their voice heard,&#8221; explained Norman.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;However, the typical voter turnout for the February Executive Elections is between 20 to 30 per cent of the student body. Throughout the election, we are going to have our marketing team out in full force to ensure students are aware of the positions, duties, and how to vote.
