Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honours society for business students.<\/p>\n<p>Membership in the society is awarded to upper-year undergraduate students who are in the top 10% of their class and to graduate students who are in the top 20% of their class.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, 129 Goodman undergraduate and graduate students <a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/news\/26479\" target=\"_blank\">were inducted into the society<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A chapter can only earn premier status if at least 85% of eligible students choose to be inducted into the society.<\/p>\n<p>Brock University is the only chapter in Ontario to achieve over a 90% acceptance rate in the past three years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are very proud to be recognized for our commitment to recognizing academic excellence,&#8221; says Don Cyr, Goodman School of Business Dean. &#8220;Goodman students have shown us, year after year, how important it is to them to be recognized as the top business students in the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To have a Beta Gamma Sigma chapter, a business school must be accredited by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aacsb.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brock University&#8217;s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma has been designated as a &#8220;2014 Premier Chapter&#8221; by the Beta Gamma Sigma Board of Governors and Officers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":30063,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[54],"tags":[620,1266,3327,594,2418],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/30061"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=30061"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/30061\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":30066,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/30061\/revisions\/30066"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/30063"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=30061"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=30061"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=30061"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
