This week marks the first time celebration of National Francophone Immigration Week in Canada.<\/p>\n
The week brings more than 100 activities to French-language communities across Canada to celebrate the contributions of immigrants to the vitality their communities.<\/p>\n
In Ontario, the Niagara-based association of Francophone women immigrants (SOFIFRAN) is partnering with the French Studies program at Brock University<\/a> on a couple of community events.<\/p>\n * Wednesday, Nov. 6: <\/strong>An exhibition of Haitian paintings, stamps, postcards, literature, money and history in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures<\/a> at Brock, on the second floor of Mackenzie Chown A-block at the University, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n * Saturday, Nov 9: <\/strong>A guided French language tour of Brock University’s Rodman Hall Art Centre<\/a>, located at 109 St. Paul Crescent, in downtown St. Catharines.<\/p>\n
