{"id":25213,"date":"2013-11-05T10:08:27","date_gmt":"2013-11-05T15:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=25213"},"modified":"2013-11-05T10:08:27","modified_gmt":"2013-11-05T15:08:27","slug":"brocks-faculty-of-education-to-host-distinguished-speaker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2013\/11\/brocks-faculty-of-education-to-host-distinguished-speaker\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock&#8217;s Faculty of Education to host distinguished speaker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/education\">Faculty of Education at Brock<\/a> will welcome Sechaba MG Mahlomaholo, a professor of education from South Africa&#8217;s University of the Free State, to campus this Thursday to headline the latest instalment of their <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/news\/24205\">Distinguished Speaker Series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His discussion, &#8220;Creating Sustainable Research Environments: Or why the bricolage works,&#8221; takes place at Alphie&#8217;s Bistro on Thursday, Nov.7, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>This event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Mahlomaholo&#8217;s presentation will talk about his experiences using a methodology informed by the French anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss&#8217; theories of bricolage to develop his Sustainable Learning Environments Project.
