The film looks at their experiences and challenges, their rewards and disappointments.<\/p>\n<p>One of the film&#8217;s stars is Darlene Love, the voice behind hits such as Da Doo Ron Ron and Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home), which she performs for David Letterman&#8217;s show every year.<\/p>\n<p>Since the 1960s, Love has sung for Marvin Gaye, Elvis Presley, Doris Day, and many other household names of the music business. And yet, there was a time when she still had to clean houses to pay her rent.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Love is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in high demand as a dynamic solo performer. On Dec. 11, she comes to the Centre for the Arts to perform.
