Partnership. <\/a><strong>The Canadian Journal Of Library And Information Practice And Research, 8(1). <\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Presentations<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Hedy McGarrell (Applied Linguistics)<\/strong> presented &#8220;Learning to Comment on Developing Writers&#8217; Texts: Comment less for more Improvement&#8221; at the seventh <strong>International Conference on Language Teacher Education, Centre for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition (CARLA)<\/strong> at George Washington University in Washington, DC in May.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geography Prof. Christopher Fullerton<\/strong> delivered a short talk, entitled &#8220;You have to create a place where people want to be&#8221;, at the <strong>Sustainable Economies, Sustainable Communities conference hosted by Queen&#8217;s University&#8217;s Monieson Centre<\/strong> in April 2012. <a title=\"YouTube\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=U32IQM5aNvI\" target=\"_blank\">Watch the presentation<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Veena Dwivedi (Applied Linguistics) <\/strong>presented a poster entitled &#8220;The computation of meaning via event knowledge and number&#8221; with co-author and current lab member, Kaitlin Curtiss at the 20th anniversary <strong>Meeting of the Cognitive Neuroscience Society<\/strong> in San Franscisco in April.<\/p>\n<p>Dwivedi also presented a poster entitled &#8220;Evidence of competition for resources in number interpretation.&#8221; Co-authors were Rae Gibson and James Desjardins at the 11th <strong>International Symposium of Psycholinguistics<\/strong> in Tenerife, Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Dwivedi delivered an invited lecture at the <strong>Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour<\/strong> in Nijmegen, Netherlands in the spring.
