{"id":18108,"date":"2012-09-05T10:04:51","date_gmt":"2012-09-05T15:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=18108"},"modified":"2012-09-07T10:07:10","modified_gmt":"2012-09-07T15:07:10","slug":"rodman-halls-hot-talks-series-starts-oct-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2012\/09\/rodman-halls-hot-talks-series-starts-oct-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Rodman Hall&#8217;s HOT TALKS series starts Oct. 18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HOT TALKS returns to Rodman Hall with a new season of lectures, presentations and performances celebrating contemporary Canadian Art.<\/p>\n<p>The free series kicks off on Oct. 18, when Denise Markonish, curator at the <a title=\"Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art\" href=\"http:\/\/www.massmoca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA)<\/a> will talk about Oh, Canada, her contemporary Canadian art exhibit on view in North Adams, Mass.<\/p>\n<p>Markonish put the exhibit together by visiting nearly 400 studios in almost every Canadian province and territory. Oh, Canada is a showcase of the country&#8217;s vast expanse of art, spanning all media, generations and geography.
