{"id":16494,"date":"2012-05-17T12:47:03","date_gmt":"2012-05-17T17:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=16494"},"modified":"2012-05-18T09:29:11","modified_gmt":"2012-05-18T14:29:11","slug":"new-dean-of-business-town-hall-meetings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2012\/05\/new-dean-of-business-town-hall-meetings\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty of Business Town Hall meetings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Advisory Committee for <a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/vp-academic\/senior-academic-searches\/dean-of-business-2\">the appointment<\/a> of a new Dean for the Faculty of Business is hosting Town Hall meetings for faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>The meetings will take place on Monday, June 11 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. (for Faculty) and Tuesday, June 26 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (for staff) in the e-classroom (Thistle 253).<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of these meetings is to provide an opportunity for input in developing the &#8220;Candidate Profile&#8221; for the position. <a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/vp-academic\/senior-academic-searches\/dean-of-business-2\/advisory\">Members of the Advisory Committee<\/a> will be in attendance to listen to feedback and suggestions.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee would ask that participants organize their thoughts around these four main questions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>What are the three most important tasks\/challenges that the new Dean will face?<\/li>\n<li>What type of governance and leadership approach should the new Dean consider?<\/li>\n<li>What are the short and long term goals that the new Dean should consider?<\/li>\n<li>What core attributes and experience must the new Dean possess?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A further Town Hall meeting will also be planned for September.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Committee welcomes signed written responses to the questions noted above.
