Allie Hughes (BA '09)<\/p><\/div>\n
Allie Hughes (BA \u201909) has a lot on her plate: marketing pro, social media enthusiast, blogger extraordinaire, published journalist. Now she can add wine tasting facilitator.<\/p>\n
Hughes has followed her passion for the wine industry and merged her love of wine with her savvy writing and web skills. She founded the wine blog, winegloss.ca (currently under construction) and is a regular contributor to sites like <\/span>Wine Align<\/a> <\/span>and <\/span>Naturally In Niagara<\/a>. <\/span>In fact, if you pop over to the Naturally In Niagara website, you\u2019ll see Hughes featured in a <\/span>video<\/a>, teaching a small group at Tawse Winery about icewines during the Icewine Festival. Hughes remains connected to Brock by writing articles for <\/span>Brock Press<\/a> about the revitalization of downtown St. Catharines and local events.<\/span><\/p>\n On Thursday, Feb. 16, Hughes will bring a bit of local flair to the Kitchener-Waterloo Brock Alumni Network through a wine-tasting event that will provide tasters with an idea of why Niagara wines taste the way they do and how to describe a wine\u2019s aroma and bouquet.
