The effort is part of the Adopt an Angel program, a charitable program through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.communitycarestca.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The names are displayed on a holiday tree in the Campus Store. Some are also displayed on the walls behind the counter. To participate, take a paper mitten. Return the mitten with a new, unwrapped gift for the child.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 11th year the store has participated. Students and employees are encouraged to take names. Donations don\u2019t just have to be toys, said Kate Jones, Campus Store services assistant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMittens and hats and scarves are appreciated just as much,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Donors can grab a mitten during regular store hours. The deadline to drop off gifts is Monday, Dec. 12.<\/p>\n<p>Student Life and Community Experience is also holding a poinsettia sale this year to fundraise for East African famine relief. The sale happens until Nov. 28 and all proceeds go to Niagara Responds: Save a Life Campaign for East Africa Famine Relief.<\/p>\n<p>A six-inch red or white potted poinsettia is $8. Plants can be picked up on Friday, Dec. 2 in Decew Residence R209 or delivered to your office for $2. Poinsettias can be <a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/student-community-outreach\/poinsettia-order-form\" target=\"_blank\">ordered online<\/a> through <a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/student-community-outreach\/poinsettia-order-form\" target=\"_blank\">Student and Community Outreach<\/a>.
