The demonstration was part of International Education Week.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Cooking demonstrations, photo displays and information sessions are highlights of <a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/international-education-week\" target=\"_blank\">International Education Week<\/a> at Brock this week.<\/p>\n<p>Held from Nov. 14 to 18, International Education Week is celebrated with various events across campus.<\/p>\n<p>International Education Week is a time to celebrate the role of international students at Brock, as well as the international experiences available to students, said Sheila Young, director of <a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-international\" target=\"_blank\">Brock International<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;International students bring their unique cultural perspectives and experiences to the classroom and the community on campus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Events include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>All week<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Photo exhibits \u201cThis is My Home\u201d and \u201cHome Away From Home\u201d in the Sean O\u2019Sullivan gallery<\/li>\n<li> A photo reflection of the Med Plus Peru trip in the Career Resource Centre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tonight<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Indian cuisine at Decew Dining Hall, 4:30 to 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<li> <em>The Guard<\/em>, part of the Brock University Film Series, at the Empire Theatre in the Pen Centre at 7 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tomorrow<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> A Chinese cooking demonstration from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the International Centre staff lounge (<a href=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/esl-services\/cooking-demonstrations\" target=\"_blank\">register here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li> Graham Pike, invited speaker of the Faculty of Education and Brock International, presenting \u201cCurrent Trends in Global Education\u201d from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in the Sankey Chamber<\/li>\n<li> A Global Volunteer Experience information session from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Sankey Chamber<\/li>\n<li> Mandarin Corner movie night \u2013 <em>The Karate Kid<\/em> (2010), 5 to 7 p.m. at the International Centre student lounge<\/li>\n<li> International cuisine at the Guernsey Market all day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friday, Nov. 18<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Cultural Caf\u00e9 \u2014 Demonstrations and Brock University Students Union international club displays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Market Hall<\/li>\n<li> Global Transitions information session from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in the Sankey Chamber<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are currently 1,440 international students
