{"id":13188,"date":"2011-10-28T12:56:19","date_gmt":"2011-10-28T17:56:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=13188"},"modified":"2011-10-28T13:00:50","modified_gmt":"2011-10-28T18:00:50","slug":"lightstone-selected-for-chamber-of-commerce-leadership-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2011\/10\/lightstone-selected-for-chamber-of-commerce-leadership-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Lightstone given Chamber of Commerce leadership award"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_13189\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13189\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13189 \" title=\"Jack Lightstone\" src=\"http:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/lightstone-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"Jack Lightstone\" width=\"240\" height=\"134\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-13189\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jack Lightstone<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The St. Catharines-Thorold Chamber of Commerce has presented Brock President Jack Lightstone with its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sctchamber.com\/news_publications\/news_details.cfm?requesttimeout=5000&amp;recordid=250\" target=\"_blank\">2011 Community Leadership Award<\/a> in recognition of the University\u2019s efforts to help advance the greater Niagara community.<\/p>\n<p>The award was given Oct. 27 at the chamber\u2019s Business Achievement Awards gala, where presenter Phil Ritchie, of Keefer Developments, called Lightstone \u201ca beacon of transformational change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The University under Lightstone\u2019s leadership is benefiting the community on numerous levels, Ritchie said. He cited the downtown home for the Marilyn I.
