Psychology professor John Mitterer<\/strong> was quoted in the article “Locals remember a very human business visionary” in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on Oct. 6. The article is about the death of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.<\/p>\n

Political Science instructor Jason Sykes<\/strong> was quoted in the article “Ontario heading to the polls” in the St. Johns Telegram<\/em> on Oct. 6. The article also appeared in the Halifax Chronicle-Herald<\/em> and the Waterloo Region Record<\/em>, among others.<\/p>\n

Larry Savage<\/strong>, associate professor of Political Science and Labour Studies, was quoted in the Hamilton Spectator<\/em> article “Liberals lose seats, support but still manage third straight election win<\/a>” on Oct. 6. The article, written by Canadian Press, appeared in several other publications and news sites, including the Guelph Mercury<\/em> and the Cape Breton Post<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Stuart Reid<\/strong>, new director of Rodman Hall Arts Centre, was quoted in the article “The time is now for executive director Reid<\/a>” in the Regina Leader-Post<\/em> on Oct. 8. The article discusses leaving the MacKenzie Art Gallery and coming to Rodman Hall. He was also quoted in “New curator for Rodman Hall” in Niagara This Week<\/em> on Oct. 3 and in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> and Niagara Falls Review<\/em> article “Incoming Rodman Hall curator followed his heart<\/a>” on Oct. 6.<\/p>\n

Kate Cassidy<\/strong>, director of Youth University, was quoted in the article “Program aims to get more kids into college, university<\/a>” in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on Oct. 9.<\/p>\n

Janet Conway<\/strong>, associate professor of Sociology and Canada Research Chair in Social Justice, was quoted in the Macleans<\/em> article “War on Wall Street<\/a>” on Oct. 10. She was also quoted in the Globe and Mail<\/em> article “Occupy movement plans to take protests to Canadian streets<\/a>” on Oct. 9.<\/p>\n

Brian Roy<\/strong>, director of the Centre for Muscle Metabolism and Biophysics, was quoted in the National Post<\/em> article “Active lifestyles benefit from the nutrients in a healthy, balanced diet<\/a>” on Oct. 11.<\/p>\n

Vasseur recently received a provincial conservation award<\/a>. She was also quoted in the Sudbury Star<\/em> article “‘No way to reverse the train’ on climate change, prof says<\/a>” on Oct. 11.<\/p>\n

Andrea Doucet<\/strong>, professor of Sociology and Women’s Studies, was quoted in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> article “Brock gets world-renowned working family researcher<\/a>” on Oct. 14.<\/p>\n

A book written by Robert Dimand<\/strong>, Economics professor, was cited in the New York Times<\/em> article “Making the most of our financial winter<\/a>” on Oct. 15.<\/p>\n

Marilyn Rose<\/strong>, professor of English Language and Literature and former Dean of Graduate Studies, was quoted in the article “Driving the differentiation bus<\/a>” in University World News<\/em> on Oct. 16.<\/p>\n

Charles Burton<\/strong>, associate professor of Political Science, published the article “China’s hit-and-run mortality<\/a>” in the Globe and Mail<\/em> on Oct. 20.<\/p>\n
