Students looking for part-time jobs will head to the Pen Centre next week for the annual Shop for Jobs event.<\/p>\n

Sixteen employers at the local mall will do on-the-spot interviews with students on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The event – arranged by Brock\u2019s Career Services<\/a>, Niagara College and the Pen Centre<\/a> \u2013 runs from 12 noon to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

Shop for Jobs gives Brock and Niagara College students a chance to meet managers face to face and apply for potential employment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis event is helpful for every student looking for part-time job to offset the cost of going to school,\u201d said Lisa Kuiper, Career Services employment development co-ordinator.<\/p>\n

Students should be “dressed for success” and have hard copies of their resumes, as well as be prepared with a 30-second spiel about themselves, she said.<\/p>\n

More than 600 students attended last year. Participating stores are:<\/p>\n
