Alun Hughes<\/strong>, Geography professor, was quoted in the article “Duplicating Laura Secord’s walk could get easier”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> and Niagara Falls Review<\/em> on Aug. 16. Hughes discussed the route taken by Laura Secord. He was also quoted in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> article “War history hides in plain sight in Thorold”<\/a> on Aug. 15, when he discussed the Battle of Beaverdams.<\/p>\n

Dave Fennell<\/strong>, professor of Tourism and Environment, was quoted in the article “Bizarre getaways”<\/a> in the Malaysia Star<\/em> on Aug. 13. In the article, he discusses the concept of tourists taking slum tours.<\/p>\n

Charles Burton<\/strong>, associate professor of Political Science, was quoted in the article “Stephen Harper plans China trip to strengthen ties”<\/a> in the Globe and Mail<\/em> on Aug. 11. He was also interviewed by Lynn Desjardins for “Canada looking to up trade with China”<\/a> on Radio Canada International’s program The Link<\/em> on Aug. 12. Burton was also interviewed for the article “Province sees dollars and ‘sense’ in partnerships with China”<\/a> in the New Brunswick Daily Gleaner<\/em> on Aug. 9.<\/p>\n

John Sainsbury<\/p><\/div>\n

John Sainsbury<\/strong>, History professor, published the editorial “Britain becomes a violent society, again”<\/a> in the Ottawa Citizen<\/em> on Aug. 11. In the article, Sainsbury discusses the London riots. He also wrote “What would Ben Franklin do?”<\/a> about the U.S. debt crisis.<\/p>\n

Marty Verhey and Nico Verhoef, winners of the Nitsopoulos Family Entrepreneurship Award<\/strong> for Brock alumni, were featured in the Niagara This Week<\/em> article “Idea has growing power for budding entrepreneurs”<\/a> on Aug. 11.<\/p>\n

Michael Armstrong<\/strong>, associate professor in the Faculty of Business, published “Of credit ratings” <\/a>in the Globe and Mail<\/em> on Aug. 10. The piece discusses the decrease of the U.S. government’s credit rating.<\/p>\n

Brian Roy<\/strong>, associate professor of Kinesiology, was quoted in the QMI Agency article “Get into the groove”<\/a>, which appeared in the London Free Press<\/em> and several other papers on Aug. 9. The article discusses how to be more active.<\/p>\n
