{"id":112433,"date":"2026-10-28T12:10:59","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T16:10:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=112433"},"modified":"2026-10-28T17:11:22","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T21:11:22","slug":"funding-applications-open-for-canada-summer-jobs-program-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2026\/10\/funding-applications-open-for-canada-summer-jobs-program-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding applications open for Canada Summer Jobs program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Brock students will once again have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience on campus through the <a title=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/funding\/canada-summer-jobs.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/funding\/canada-summer-jobs.html\" data-outlook-id=\"0bdcda04-9664-4e85-9b03-b487ef4a1456\">Canada Summer Jobs program<\/a>\u00a0in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Departments interested in hiring students for summer positions are encouraged to apply for the Government of Canada wage subsidy through an internal Brock process.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Government and Community Relations will review each application against criteria set out by the program to ensure all Brock applications receive the best consideration for funding.<\/p>\n<p>All applications will be compiled and sent to Canada Summer Jobs in a single submission. Any applications for on-campus jobs that are not included in this central application will not be considered for funding.<\/p>\n<p>Jobs eligible for the program include those that provide meaningful employment and contribute to a student\u2019s career path while also providing exposure to the mission of the University by aligning with its strategic direction.<\/p>\n<p>Interested departments are asked to contact <span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Dan<\/span>iel <span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\" data-markjs=\"true\">Grubb<\/span> at <a href=\"mailto:dgrubb@brocku.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dgrubb@brocku.ca<\/a> as soon as possible.
