Brock’s new Global Transitions program was the subject of the Niagara This Week<\/em> article “Traveling students get the best of both worlds”<\/a> on July 21. Christina Bosilo<\/strong>, manager for international learning programs, was quoted in the story.<\/p>\n

Tony Shaw<\/strong>, Geography professor, was quoted in the CTV<\/em> article “Climate change threatens to spoil Ontario’s signature wines”<\/a> on July 21. The story was also featured in Five essential business stories of the week<\/a> at theglobeandmail.com along with a photo of viticulturist Jim Willwerth<\/strong>. Work done at the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute was also mentioned in the Toronto Star<\/em> column “Stimmell: A celebration of cool-climate chardonnays”<\/a> on July 21.<\/p>\n

Charles Burton<\/p><\/div>\n

Charles Burton<\/strong>, associate professor of Political Science, was quoted in the Embassy<\/em> magazine article “Are Chinese spies getting an easy ride?”<\/a> on Aug. 2. He also wrote “Farewell, Mr. Lai”<\/a> for the Globe and Mail<\/em> on July 25, and was quoted in in Macleans<\/em> magazine on July 22.<\/p>\n

Marilyn Rose<\/strong>, English professor, was interviewed by CBC New Brunswick radio for a segment “Crime and mystery top selling fiction” that was broadcast July 27 on the program Shift<\/a>. Rose and Professor Jeannette Sloniowski<\/strong>, Communication, Popular Culture and Film, maintain the research website Crime Fiction Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fiona Hunter<\/strong>, Biological Sciences professor, was featured in a Consumer SOS story on Global TV speaking about natural mosquito repellents on July 29. View the segment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Debbie Slade<\/strong>, director of the Centre for the Arts, was quoted in the article “It’s deja vu for arts centre’s founding executive director”<\/a> in the St. Catharines Standard<\/em> on July 30.
