{"id":111884,"date":"2026-09-28T10:10:44","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T14:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=111884"},"modified":"2026-09-28T18:54:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T22:54:08","slug":"faculty-staff-volunteers-needed-for-fall-convocation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2026\/09\/faculty-staff-volunteers-needed-for-fall-convocation\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty, staff volunteers needed for Fall Convocation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock employees will play a key role in making <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/convocation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fall Convocation<\/a> a moment to remember for the University&#8217;s newest graduates and their loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of the Registrar and Enrolment Services is inviting faculty and staff to volunteer in a variety of roles during Brock&#8217;s 120th Convocation, which takes place Friday, Oct. 16, including welcoming guests, assisting graduands in the gowning room, announcing graduates\u2019 names and distributing diplomas.<\/p>\n<p>Ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.\u00a0Applicants can select the times they would like to volunteer and must have approval from their manager or supervisor if shifts fall during scheduled work hours.<\/p>\n<p>For full details and to sign up, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.sharepoint.com\/sites\/Registrar\/SitePages\/Convocation.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Convocation SharePoint site<\/a>.
