John Sainsbury<\/strong>, History professor, published “Britain must curb press abuses with care<\/a>,” an editorial about the News of the World phone-hacking scandal, in the Globe and Mail<\/em> on July 17. He also wrote “The power of the tabloid press<\/a>\u201d for the Ottawa Citizen<\/em> on July 12 about the same issue.<\/p>\n

Andrea Doucet<\/strong>, professor of Sociology, was an expert guest in the segment “Gender equity at home<\/a>” on 94.9 FM in Seattle on July 14.<\/p>\n

Mariek Schmidt<\/strong>, Earth Science assistant professor, was a guest columnist for the Big Think<\/em> blog. She wrote \u201cThe Rocks are always greener \u2013 volcanoes and land accessibility<\/a>.”<\/p>\n
