The Brock Paddleheads dragon boat team still has a few spots open for team members wanting to paddle for charity.<\/p>\n

The team will compete in the St. Catharines Dragon Boat Festival<\/a>, an annual fundraiser for Wellspring Niagara and the St. Catharines Museum. No experience is required.<\/p>\n

This year’s dragon boat festival will be Saturday, July 23 at Henley Island. The races start at 9 a.m. and wrap up with an awards ceremony at the end of the day. There will be two practices prior to the races \u2014 Tuesday, July 19 and Thursday, July 21. Racers are asked to attend two practices and raise $40 in pledges for Wellspring Niagara.<\/p>\n

Last year, Brock’s team of 22 raised $850.<\/p>\n
