The new appointment takes effect Nov. 1, 2027.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Since joining Brock, Rigg has led the University through a period of significant progress, guiding the development and launch of its 2025-2030 Strategic Plan \u2014 a community-informed roadmap focused on transforming people and reimagining the future.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Under her leadership, Brock has advanced a number of major academic and institutional initiatives. These include the launch of the University\u2019s Integrated Engineering program, expansion of professional and continuing studies and micro-credentials, the opening of the Burlington Campus at the Robert Bateman Community Centre, and modernization of academic programming to support flexibility and future-ready learning. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rigg has also strengthened Brock\u2019s research enterprise, securing significant investments in areas such as sustainable agriculture, including the development of the Brock University Norris W. Walker Research Farm, and advancing industry partnerships through facilities like the Validation, Prototyping and Manufacturing Institute (VPMI). <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A strong advocate for the University and the sector, Rigg has elevated Brock\u2019s presence provincially and nationally through leadership roles with organizations such as Universities Canada and the Council of Ontario Universities, while building relationships across government,\u00a0industry\u00a0and community partners to support student success,\u00a0research\u00a0and regional development.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Brock has made important strides under Rigg\u2019s leadership in advancing financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.
