Brock Provost and Vice-President, Academic Arja Vainio-Mattila led an information session this past Thursday that provided details on the University\u2019s plans for a sustainable future.<\/p>\n
Held in the Sean O\u2019Sullivan Theatre, the session provided insight on the government\u2019s funding model \u2014 including the impact of Ontario\u2019s recent investment in the sector \u2014 as well as Brock\u2019s progress towards its academic goals, the University\u2019s overall financial sustainability strategy and its academic priorities and opportunities. Presenters also included Anna Lathrop, Special Advisor to the Provost, and Josh Tonnos, Chief Financial Officer and Associate Vice-President, Financial Services.<\/p>\n
\u201cBuilding a sustainable future for Brock has been challenging amid the financial pressures across the post-secondary sector, and with the recent investment from the Province, the terrain has improved considerably,\u201d said Vainio-Mattila.\u00a0 \u201cWhere we go next will be guided by our Strategic Plan and the University Action Plan, and it is important that we make the most of this moment, together, as we build a sustainable future for Brock.\u201d<\/p>\n
