Brock\u2019s Environmental Sustainability Research Centre (ESRC) invites the community to make waves this World Water Day by applying to participate in the day\u2019s events.<\/p>\n
The annual World Water Day celebration will be held Monday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Rankin Family Pavilion, and all are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n
Lead organizers, ESRC Director Julia Baird and Assistant Professor Lina Taing, are also encouraging Brock students, faculty and staff to take part in the day\u2019s exhibitions by sharing water-focused research, learning opportunities, community action and more.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis exhibition aims to showcase learning and research on water at Brock and in the community, featuring engaging displays, interactive demonstrations and thought-provoking art,\u201d says Baird, who holds a Canada Research Chair in Human Dimensions of Water Resources and Water Resilience. \u201cWe believe that by coming together as a community, we can inspire positive change and contribute to safeguarding our waters.\u201d<\/p>\n
Individual participants may apply to share research posters, artistic displays and class projects. A small printing fund for student posters is available.<\/p>\n
The organizers also welcome applications from educators and community organization who could share course highlights, educational exhibits, interactive stations to engage attendees about water technology or conservation, and informative displays on different aspects of water.<\/p>\n
