The Brock women\u2019s basketball team is facing off against breast cancer by raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS).<\/p>\n
The 19th annual Shoot for the Cure game, which takes place at 6 p.m. in the Bob Davis Gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 10, is part of a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of and money for breast cancer research. The Brock Badgers will also wear pink warmups as they take on the visiting Laurentian Voyageurs.<\/p>\n
Two other Brock women\u2019s teams will be raising money this month in support of the national U SPORTS Shoot for the Cure campaign, which runs from Wednesday, Jan. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 1.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s hockey team will host its Pink in the Rink game on Friday, Jan. 16 against the Western Mustangs at 6 p.m. at Canada Games Park, and women\u2019s volleyball is hosting a Dig for the Cure game at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 against the RMC Paladins.<\/p>\n
Fans can support Brock\u2019s teams and the Shoot for the Cure campaign, which aims to raise $100,000, by heading to the Brock Badgers\u2019 fundraising page on the Canadian Cancer Society website<\/a>. To support a specific team\u2019s fundraising goals, fans can select the roster page on the Brock Badgers fundraising page and click \u201cDonate Now\u201d beside the team of their choice.<\/p>\n
