As exams and final assignments get closer, the Brock community is gearing up to provide students with the supports and resources they need to succeed.<\/p>\n
Students can access\u00a0a variety of Learning Services supports<\/a>, including exam-focused workshops, essay writing workshops, consultations with Learning Skills Specialists and one-on-one tutoring. Exam review sessions will also be offered for CHEM 1P91, CHEM 2P20, BIOL 1P91, MATH 1P97 and STAT 1P98.<\/p>\n Learning Services will also offer extended Learning Centre Hours during the first two weeks of December to increase the number of tutoring sessions available. During that time, the centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays.<\/p>\n Students can get updates on Learning Services review sessions and other supports on its Instagram page<\/a> or ExperienceBU<\/a>.<\/p>\n Brock\u2019s Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre<\/a> offers a number of counselling options, including open-door single sessions, for students in need of mental health support.<\/p>\n To help students relax during exam season, the Brock University Library has created an exam de-stress guide<\/a> and will once again offer an “UnStudy Spot<\/a>” in the Learning Commons.<\/p>\n The\u00a0 Library will also offer extended hours for the Matheson Learning Commons to accommodate late-night study sessions. Late Night Study hours will run from Sunday, Nov. 23 to Wednesday, Dec. 17 , with the Learning Commons open:<\/p>\n All library floors will also remain open until 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6\u00a0and Saturday, Dec. 13.<\/p>\n Students staying on campus late to study during the Brock Library’s Late Night Study can get a free ride home<\/a> thanks to the Brock University Students\u2019 Union.<\/p>\n The service is available Sundays to Thursdays each week between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. Students can book a free ride on the Zoom Zoom app<\/a> from Brock to their home address within the Niagara region using the code \u201cGOBADGERS\u201d. Pick up will take place\u00a0outside the Rankin Family Pavilion.<\/p>\n Those accessing campus late at night can access Campus Safety Services\u2019 Safe Walk program by calling (905) 688-5550 x4300. Additional safety resources can be found on the Brock Safety app<\/a>, including the Friend Walk Monitor, which allows users to share their location through a link, and Mobile BlueLight, which allows users to share their location with Campus Safety Services through a call or chat message.<\/p>\n The Graduate Students\u2019 Association (GSA) will offer a cosy drop-in session<\/a>, featuring make-your-own candy can hot chocolate, with Heidi Madden, Graduate Academic and International Specialist, on Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 1 to 2 p.m. in MCC 300.<\/p>\n Registered graduate students can also pick up a free grab-and-go bowl of tomato soup on Wednesday, Dec. 3 from noon to 1 p.m., while stocks last.<\/p>\n\n
