Brock University will join those across the country in honouring the courage and sacrifice of veterans during two upcoming days of remembrance.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Nov. 8, Indigenous Veterans Day will provide an opportunity to reflect on the contributions of First Nations, M\u00e9tis and Inuit to Canada\u2019s military and peacekeeping missions.<\/p>\n

To allow the Brock community to mark the day together on campus, the Hadiya\u2019dag\u00e9nhahs First Nations, M\u00e9tis and Inuit Student Centre<\/a> hosted a beaded poppy-making workshop<\/a> on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Two additional workshops are also being held on Friday, Nov 7 at 11:30 a.m.<\/a> and 6 p.m.<\/a> at Brock\u2019s Burlington Campus in room BUBC 284.<\/p>\n

Beaded poppy-making workshops will be held at Brock’s Burlington Campus later this week.<\/p><\/div>\n

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Remembrance Day will be observed to honour the sacrifices of Canadian Armed Forces members and Royal Canadian Military Police who lost their lives in service, as well as those who continue to serve today.<\/p>\n

A commemorative ceremony will be held in Brock\u2019s Rankin Family Pavilion beginning at 10:45 a.m.<\/p>\n

Staff, faculty and students are welcome to participate in remembrance events both on campus and throughout the region.<\/p>\n
