{"id":105757,"date":"2025-11-04T12:40:55","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T17:40:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=105757"},"modified":"2025-11-04T22:43:04","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T03:43:04","slug":"funding-applications-open-for-canada-summer-jobs-program-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2025\/11\/funding-applications-open-for-canada-summer-jobs-program-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding applications open for Canada Summer Jobs program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock students will once again have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience on campus through the <a title=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/funding\/canada-summer-jobs.html\" href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/services\/funding\/canada-summer-jobs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-outlook-id=\"da34ef17-dfbb-4f37-8d1c-2a2ebbb774ef\">Canada Summer Jobs program<\/a>\u00a0in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Departments interested in hiring students for summer positions are encouraged to apply for the Government of Canada wage subsidy through an internal Brock process.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Government and Community Relations will review each application against criteria set out by the program to ensure all Brock applications receive the best consideration for funding.<\/p>\n<p>All applications will be compiled and sent to Canada Summer Jobs in a single submission. Any applications for on-campus jobs that are not included in this central application will not be considered for funding.<\/p>\n<p>Jobs eligible for the program include those that provide meaningful employment and contribute to a student\u2019s career path while also providing exposure to the mission of the University by aligning with its strategic direction.<\/p>\n<p>Interested departments are asked to contact April Jeffs at <a class=\"ms-outlook-linkify\" href=\"mailto:ajeffs@brocku.ca\">ajeffs@brocku.ca<\/a>\u00a0as soon as possible.
