{"id":104731,"date":"2025-09-24T16:54:35","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T20:54:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/?p=104731"},"modified":"2026-04-21T05:40:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T09:40:20","slug":"brock-partners-with-global-leader-in-cider-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/brock-news\/2025\/09\/brock-partners-with-global-leader-in-cider-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Brock partners with global leader in cider education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brock University\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/brocku.ca\/ccovi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute<\/a> (CCOVI) is set to become the first post-secondary institution to offer the <a href=\"https:\/\/ciderassociation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Cider Association&#8217;s<\/a> (ACA) Certified Cider Guide&#x2122; Workshop.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will prepare participants for the first level of the ACA\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ciderassociation.org\/certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Certified Cider Professional Program<\/a>, which is the only certification for cider value-chain professionals in the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a landmark moment for cider education in Canada, and we\u2019re proud to partner with CCOVI to make it happen,\u201d says ACA Director of Education and Program Development Jennie Dorsey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Certified Cider Professional&#x2122; Program is the global gold standard in cider education. This partnership expands access to high-quality cider training for beverage professionals, educators and enthusiasts throughout Canada.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The immersive one-day in-person workshop debuts at Brock Saturday, Nov. 8, with a session also planned for the spring of 2026.
