Brock continued to expand its global reach by welcoming international recruitment partners to campus for its fourth annual Educator Day on Aug. 28.<\/p>\n
The day brought together nearly 60 college partners, recruitment agents, educators from K to 12 schools and language pathway providers to learn more about Brock and explore opportunities for collaboration.<\/p>\n
For Anna Guo, Director, International Student Recruitment, Educator Day is more than an event.<\/p>\n
\u201cEducator Day is a vision and a call to action,\u201d she said. \u201cIt is about sharing knowledge, celebrating student success and building partnerships that help connect the brightest students with Brock.\u201d<\/p>\n
The agenda featured updates on Brock\u2019s academic programs, admissions policies, transfer options, scholarships and student services. Participants also learned about new initiatives such as the combined MBA program for domestic and international students and the Integrated Engineering program.<\/p>\n
Educators also connected with faculty, staff and students throughout the day. A lunch and learn session featured international students sharing their experiences of growth, community engagement and career readiness.<\/p>\n
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to student experience with sessions on co-op and career opportunities, a tour of the engineering labs and a discussion on student mental health supports, an area where Brock has been ranked number one in Canada.<\/p>\n
The transformative power of international education was a key theme for the day, with Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Arja Vainio-Mattila sharing insight into the University\u2019s strategic priority of bringing the world to Brock and Brock to the world<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAt Brock International, we work alongside our partners and students around the world to ensure this promise becomes a lived reality every day. In doing so, we enrich our campus with ideas, cultures and perspectives that make us stronger,\u201d said David Begg, Associate Vice-President, International.<\/p>\n\n\t
