Dianne Abrey at Travel Cuts at Brock will tell you how to travel well on a budget.<\/p><\/div>\n

Dianne Abrey has a passion for travel, and she can\u2019t wait to share it at Brock\u2019s Employee Wellness Conference<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Abrey is branch manager of the Brock Travel Cuts<\/a>, located in the Student-Alumni Centre near the Brock University Students\u2019 Union. Abrey is hosting one of the most popular workshops on June 15 \u2013 Travel Wise, a discussion of how to fulfill your travel dreams on a budget.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone loves to travel,\u201d she said. \u201cWhether they\u2019ve done it a lot or haven\u2019t done it very much, travel is a very emotional experience. You\u2019re learning about history. You\u2019re learning about people. It\u2019s exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abrey has worked in the travel industry since 1980. In her session, she\u2019ll tell people the ins and outs of getting the best deal when booking a trip. She\u2019ll talk about air fares, insurance, travel packages, renting cars and getting a great price on hotels.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you know what you\u2019re looking for and how to research it, travel is affordable,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s where we (at Travel Cuts) come into play.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abrey\u2019s session will focus on the seven dimensions of wellness that are the central theme of Brock\u2019s annual wellness day \u2013 social, intellectual, emotional, physical, occupational, environmental and spiritual. For physical wellness, for example, there are plenty of trips geared to walking and cycling. For the spiritual self, there are plenty of yoga wellness retreats.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t always have to take a flight to get to them either,\u201d Abrey said. \u201cThere are places you can go right here in Ontario.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is no limit on attendees at Abrey\u2019s session, which is from 10 to 11 a.m. But many sessions have a limit on the number of participants. There are 555 registrants so far, and some workshops have as few as six spaces left.<\/p>\n
