A new leader will soon be at the forefront of efforts to bring the world to Brock and Brock to the world.<\/p>\n
The University has appointed David Begg as its new Associate Vice-President, International, effective June 2.<\/p>\n
With more than two decades of leadership experience in international education, Begg has a proven track record of advancing global partnerships, international enrolment and intercultural engagement.<\/p>\n
In his previous role as Associate Vice-President, Global Partnerships and Education at George Brown College, he led a team focused on enhancing international student success and global collaboration.<\/p>\n
Under his leadership, George Brown developed a comprehensive global engagement plan, expanded its international footprint and implemented a more integrated and evidence-informed approach to global strategy development.<\/p>\n
Begg has also held senior roles at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where he played a foundational role in creating the institution\u2019s first international strategy, developing the TMU English Language Institute and fostering international mobility and partnership initiatives.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrock\u2019s purpose-driven International strategic plan truly resonated with me, especially its commitment to empowering students, faculty and staff to become agents of global change,\u201d Begg said. \u201cI\u2019m excited to join such a dynamic university community and to work collaboratively in expanding Brock\u2019s international presence and impact.\u201d<\/p>\n
Begg will help guide Brock\u2019s internationalization efforts, leading a team dedicated to attracting and supporting international students, fostering global research collaborations and strengthening international partnerships.<\/p>\n
