Pinning ceremony celebrates Nursing students

Maham Qureshi (centre right) was one of 65 fourth-year students who celebrated completing Brock's Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at a pinning ceremony on Wednesday, April 17. The century-old tradition is a rite of passage for graduating nurses that represents a commitment to nursing education and training. In receiving and wearing the pin, students accept the rights and responsibilities to serve the health needs of society by providing excellent care to patients and their loved ones. Karyn Taplay (centre left), Associate Professor of Nursing and Chair of Brock's Nursing Department, was one of the faculty members who pinned students as part of the ceremony. Graduating Nursing students will continue their celebrations this June at Convocation.
