Nursing students practise resuscitation skills

Three Brock University Bachelor of Science in Nursing students gather round a high-fidelity simulator patient who has gone into cardiac arrest. Fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing students Katie Rankin (left), Katie Wiebe (centre) and Gabrianne Webster were among dozens of students who practised compression and airway management resuscitation skills during a cardiac arrest simulation involving high-fidelity simulator patients on Thursday, Dec. 7. Students learned how to take action when a patient is found unresponsive, how to properly document during a cardiac arrest situation and which medications are used.
