Derek Kontkanen (BSc ’02, MSc ’05), winemaker at Inniskillin Okanagan and a graduate of Brock’s Oenology and Viticulture program, won Canadian Wine Producer of the Year at the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) in London, England last week. He also won the World’s Best Product Trophy for Best Dessert Wine in this year's prestigious competition, earning the honour for the third time.
