Jacklyn Janssen, a third-year French and Visual Arts student at Brock University currently on exchange at the University of South Australia, recently visited the Gates of Heaven in Bali. The picturesque view of the temple gate is located in the eastern part of the of Bali, within the highlands of Mount Lempuyang, 1,775 metres above sea level. After climbing 1,700 steps to reach the summit, Jansen was able to explore the temple, which is considered one of the holiest places of worship in Bali.
