Exploring nearly two centuries of photography

Photography is in focus this month in the Brock University Library cabinets. Aspects of early photography, contemporary analogue photography and experimental image making are featured in the illuminated glass display cases located inside the Matheson Learning Commons and in Thistle Complex. The interior cabinets include 19th century photos from Archives and Special Collections and examples of 20th century analogue cameras from the Department of Visual Arts. The exterior cabinets feature the personal works of Library employees Laurie Morrison, Collections Librarian, and Charity Blaine, Library Assistant, and reflect their growing interest in analogue photography. Cyanotypes, lumens, anthotypes and chlorophyll prints are on view. The exhibit will be on display until Friday, Dec. 2.
