Discussion panel explores themes of identity and gender

English Professor Tim Conley answers a question about Virginia Woolf’s novel Orlando at a recent panel discussion as Dramatic Arts Associate Professor Karen Fricker looks on. The interdisciplinary panel discussion of Woolf’s famous novel was hosted by the Department of History’s Speaker Series on Tuesday, Oct. 29 to coincide with the play adaptation performed by Brock’s Dramatic Arts students. The play, adapted by Sarah Ruhl, explores the nature of identity and gender. Panelists included professors Tim Conley (English), Jessica Clark (History), Katharine von Stackelberg (Classics), David Fancy (Dramatic Arts), Karen Fricker (Dramatic Arts) and DART critics student Alexandra Chubaty Boychuk.
