Brock joins together in song with Niagara Children’s Choirs

About 70 elementary music students selected for the second annual Niagara Children's Honour Choir performed in an evening concert with Brock University Choirs on Friday, Feb. 1 at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. The concert was brought to the stage through a collaboration between the Chorus Niagara Children's Choir (Amanda Nelli, Artistic Director), Brock University’s Department of Music (Rachel Rensink-Hoff, Director of Choral Activities) and the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN). The students, all from DSBN schools, performed in a mass choir with the Brock University Choirs and the Chorus Niagara Children’s Choir. The performance followed outreach workshops provided by Nelli and Rensink-Hoff in preparation for a day of rehearsals with special guest conductor Zimfira Poloz, Artistic Director of the Hamilton Children's Choir and internationally recognized expert in choral artistry for young voices.
