A spook-tacular contest

Santiago Negret Rey, a fourth-year Game Programming student from Colombia, was among the first to enter Brock International’s virtual Halloween costume contest. Open to faculty, staff and students, the contest invites participants to submit a photo of themselves wearing their Halloween costume to the @BrockuIntl account on Instagram by Monday, Nov. 2 at 8 a.m. A select group of judges will then nominate the top nine costumes based on creativity and originality. Finalists will be put to popular vote between Monday, Nov. 2 at noon and Wednesday, Nov. 4 at noon on the @BrockuIntl Instagram page. The three costumes with the most votes will receive a Skip the Dishes gift card. Full contest rules and regulations are available on Brock’s International’s website. Brock University reminds participants that culture is not a costume. Entries reinforcing harmful stereotypes around race, gender, ability, culture and mental health or other illicit content will be disqualified from the contest.
