Thesis defences — May 20 to May 23

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Tuesday, May 20 and Friday, May 23.

Master of Science in Biotechnology thesis defence

Nadine Ott-Peon, a Master of Science candidate in the Centre for Biotechnology, will defend her thesis titled “Determining the Roles of the Aldehyde Dehydrogenase Enzymes 5 and 6 during Icewine and Table Wine Fermentation in a Commercial Wine Yeast Using CRISPR-Cas9” on Thursday, May 22 at 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee includes Melanie Pilkington, Chair; Debbie Inglis, Supervisor; George Van der Merwe, External Examiner (University of Guelph); and Aleksandar Necakov and Jeffrey Atkinson, Committee Members.
