Consul General of Pakistan connects with campus community

Building on Brock’s global connections, the University welcomed the Consul General of Pakistan, Khalil Ahmed Bajwa, to campus this week to discuss opportunities to support international student success.

Bajwa’s visit on Wednesday, May 7 also focused on strengthening connections between the Consulate General of Pakistan in Toronto and the University.

While on campus, the Consul General met with senior administrators, faculty and staff to learn more about Brock’s strategic direction, academic and student support strengths, and impact in Niagara.

“Visits like these contribute to collaboration and fostering mutual understanding,” said Christina Bosilo, Director, Brock International. “The opportunity to welcome Consul General Bajwa to Brock underscores our shared commitment to supporting Pakistani students and visiting scholars, enhancing global engagement.”

The visit allowed Brock representatives to explore how the University can better support students from Pakistan and to learn more about services the Consulate can offer the campus community.

The delegation, which included Bajwa’s family, toured campus with students from the Goodman School of Business, who offered a first-hand perspective on student life at Brock by sharing their academic experiences, leadership roles in student clubs and active involvement in the local community.
