Discussion to explore experiences of Indigenous women in university administration

An upcoming Brock event will explore the experiences of Indigenous women in university leadership roles.

Co-hosted by Brock’s Indigenous Educational Studies program and the Vice-Provost, Indigenous Engagement, the talk will take place Thursday, Feb. 1 in Pond Inlet from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Furthering Brock’s commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, accessibility, reconciliation and decolonization, the event will feature Candace Brunette-Debassige, Assistant Professor of Critical Policy, Equity and Leadership Studies at Western University, who will discuss her book Tricky Grounds: Indigenous Women’s Experiences in Canadian University Administration.

Interested participants are asked to book a free ticket on Eventbrite.

Additional questions about the event can be sent to Sheila Cote-Meek, Director of Indigenous Educational Studies Programs, at scotemeek@brocku.ca
