Brock University staff, faculty and librarians will be recognized Tuesday, Dec. 13 at an annual gathering celebrating the long-standing commitment and ongoing contributions of employees. 

Set to take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Market Hall, the event will feature sweet treats and refreshments, followed by remarks from President Lesley Rigg and the presentation of staff service awards. 

Recipients of the President’s Distinguished Staff Service Award for Outstanding Contributions, the Human Resources Distinguished Staff Service Award for Leadership and the Brock University Outstanding Team Service Award will be recognized, as well as employees who have reached 25- and 35-year service milestones. 

The formal awards portion of the event will be livestreamed from 3 to 3:30 p.m. 

No response or registration is required to attend the event in person or online. 

Employees attending the event in person are invited to support Brock’s Food First program, which provides Brock students impacted by food insecurity with local grocery store gift cards and connections to community resources. There will be a monetary donation box at the event. Food First is a partnership between the Brock University Students’ Union, the Graduate Students’ Association and Aramark Canada.
