REMINDER: Wednesday, Feb. 22 is Pink Shirt Day

The Brock community is being asked to think pink when they come back to work Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Pink T-Shirt Day will be celebrated on campus in support of the Bullying Stops Here campaign.

The University is encouraging people to wear their favourite shade of the rosy colour in an effort to show that bullying will not be tolerated.

Brock Health Management and Wellness Manager Kathryn Walker said the day is meant to promote kindness among students, staff and faculty, while also taking a stand against bullying.

The goal, she said, is to “spread the message that Brock is a safe and welcoming environment and that showing kindness to all is part of our core values as a higher education facility and as a workplace.”

Pink T-Shirt Day has been making waves across the country since it began in Nova Scotia in 2007.
