Brian Cuban coming to campus to discuss his struggle with mental health issues

Students and staff are invited to hear the powerful story of Brian Cuban, who has struggled with mental illness for decades.

Brock University’s Students’ Union, in partnership with Pathstone Mental Health, Meridian Credit Union and Brock University, will present a free talk by Cuban on Sept. 30.

The younger brother of Shark Tank star and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Brian Cuban is the author of the best-selling book “Shattered Image” which tells of his triumph over 27 years of eating disorders, bullying, depression, alcoholism, drug addiction, body dysmorphic disorder and a near suicide attempt. It is possible for us to rise above our worst moments in life, reinvent ourselves and achieve great things.

The event runs from 7-9 p.m.

BUSU said 400 student/staff tickets have been set aside as well as 100 community member tickets. To reserve your tickets, please click the link: BRIAN CUBAN TICKETS
