Now that spring has sprung, it’s usually that time where we scram to finish our assignments, get ready for the end of the term exams, and last but certainly not least….get ready for SUMMER!!! As a student, I know what the summer months mean – working a full-time job to earn some bucks for the upcoming school year. If you’re from the Niagara Region, or plan on staying on campus this Spring/Summer, why not look for an on-campus job? I myself have stayed the past two summers and worked in two different departments and LOVED IT. Most of the student services run throughout the summer months, so there are plenty of opportunities for employment.
One of the greatest resources for students is the Career Zone website. This website lists all of the student jobs in the Niagara Region both on and off campus. I have used it many times throughout my years and find it extremely helpful!
Also, if you feel like you need to tune up your resume and cover letter, drop-in to Career Services located on the first floor of the Matheson Learning Commons. This friendly team will gladly provide you tips for writing your resume and cover letter and practice your job interview skills!
Wherever you choose to work, definitely consider the options on-campus first!
