Hey future Badgers!
‘Tis the season for offers of admission! Have you gotten an offer and still haven’t visited us on campus?! Well, Spring Open House is just around the corner on Sunday, April 2nd!
There’s so many cool things you can do during our Open House! I know that this event is what really solidified my decision to come to Brock.
The Ian D. Beddis Gym turns into a large expo where you can meet professors, faculty, academic advisers AND students in your programs. This is the perfect opportunity for you to see what your program is really about and talk to students who can share their experiences with you. It’s definitely nice to feel prepared before you come in September.
Hotspot Campus Tour
This is also the perfect opportunity for you to tour campus and see what Brock’s really about. During Open House and Fall Preview Day, our campus tours are run “hotspot” style which allows you to stop at major hotspots on campus and get information from our lovely group of volunteers and student staff. There are also “jump off” points to go take a look at the various residences we offer. This is another great opportunity to talk to students and hear firsthand about student life at Brock.
Alongside the Information Fair, we also run various information sessions throughout the day about things like co-op and finance. We also run some program specific information sessions throughout the day. This is another opportunity to get more specific information about your education at Brock.
All in all, the best part about Open House is actually becoming a part of the Brock community. My favourite part about visiting Brock some years ago was the atmosphere at these events; you truly feel like you’re a part of the University even before you come in September.
