Hey future Badgers!

With the weather warming up and Spring just around the corner, campus is about as become beautiful as ever! Something that future Badgers don’t get to see as often is our beautiful backyard. Brock is located on the Niagara Escarpment which is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This means that there is always going to be a certain amount of green space around campus. What this means for you as a student is that you will always have a place to go to distress or to explore.

The Bruce Trail

Fun Fact: The Bruce Trail runs from Queenston (just north of Niagara Falls) all the way to Tobermory: two cities that are 4.5 hours (by car) away from each other!

A segment of the Bruce Trail runs through the Niagara Escarpment, just behind our Decew Residence at Brock. This trail includes a Badger favourite: Decew Falls! Decew Falls is definitely one of those places that every Badger has to visit before they graduate.

The vast amount of nature surrounding Brock definitely makes our campus unique. You’ll even see aspects of nature hidden between many buildings around Brock. Including, but not limited to, Pond Inlet and Jubilee Court. (Pond Inlet can definitely be a distraction in those early morning seminars!)

Next time you visit Brock be sure to check out what’s right in Brock’s backyard!

Until next time,

Rupaali
